A pair of child’s leather shoes believed to be from the 19th century. They have a button fastening, though one strap is torn (as shown) so can no longer fasten. With their wooden soles they were certainly sturdy but the pretty scalloped edge on the brown leather uppers might suggest a Sunday-best shoe, rather than a workaday clog. These are beautiful collectable items, approximately 14 cm in length.
