French wicker baguette basket

Tax included.

A beautiful example of a baguette basket with carrying handle in excellent condition. This basket is 52cm high (80cm to the handle and made of wicker. The age is difficult to ascertain as it is without labels but we would estimate 30-40 years old. Carry your baguettes back from market in it or store them in your kitchen. Perfect for a picnic accessory on a beautiful sunny day. Alternatively use this as other storage - perfect for your umbrella collection or walking sticks, it would look rather nice in your hall.

Despite being quintessentially French, the baguette was invented in Vienna in the 19th century by August Zang. although evocative of lazy French days the commonly used translations of baguette are wand, baton or stick.
