A large antique seaman's chest. This came to us with an oil cloth covered lid. Unfortunately the oil cloth was very damaged so we had to remove it and wax the top of the chest. In the base is a drainage hole in case sea water gets inside the chest. This has a circular swing cover that prevents critters from entering! One of the carry handles is missing but the trunk can be lifted from underneath. A solid and quirky item.
