A nice example of the iconic 1960s vintage sunburst / starburst wall clock by mid century British manufacturer, Metamec. The clock is in good original condition, with its original German 'Kienzle' battery movement which has a gentle tick.
The clock has a silver face with typically 60s black numerals edged with gold, covered in domed glass. The original hands are black and brass metal. The face is inscribed with 'METAMEC' and 'MADE IN ENGLAND'. The copper and teak rays are secured to the black plastic backing, which is also marked with 'MADE IN ENGLAND'. The movement takes a C size battery, one of which is included. The clock is in good working order. There is some patina on the brass. The clock is complete.
