Victorian Mother of Pearl inlaid jewellery box. Overall nice condition - all of the Mother of Pearl is intact including the escutcheon. The woodwork itself is in good consition. This box is fully lockable and comes with the key. Inside the original tray and light blue colour scheme is intact but with some wear (see pictures). Unusually there is an opening pocket on the inside of the lid to perhaps hold love letters.
The outside bottom of the box has traces of the original fabric backing but could use re-felting. Overall a nice example.
