A nice matched pair of wooden late Victorian/ early Edwardian pictures showing a gentleman in one and his wife and children in the second one. Although the pictures are of historical interest we were more interested in the frames themselves. These are wooden with mouldings and have been carefully cleaned and nourished with Orange oil. They measure approximately 35 x 41cm and have the original hanging wires on the back. The length of these would suggest that the frames had been hung from a picture rail.
