A rare vintage Pluto dog figure in plastic and metal with attached magnetic bone. Made by the J.V.Z Company in or around 1954. Usually these have the bone missing. Around 8cm tall and in decent condition with a little age related wear but with both ears intact!
Tell me about Pluto the Dog
Pluto is Mickey Mouse's pet dog and was introduced by Disney in the 1930 film The Chain Gang as an unnamed dog, but properly as Pluto in 1931's The Moose Hunt. Check him out in the 1934 film Playful Pluto in which he has a major entanglement with Flypaper. In 2003 Disney got its copyright on Pluto extended by a further 20 years and this is due to expire now in 2023. Unlike Goofy, Pluto is a doggy dog, he tends not to wear clothes, walk upright or talk in a human voice.
