A really interesting box! Post WWII when resources and money were scarce, people used to 'make their own' in a variety of items. This folk arty box has been painstakingly constructed by someone for themselves or a family member.
This box has been made with reclaimed wood, including a back made from a sausage can box, a re-used draw handle and a leather strap. It is lined inside with wallpaper from the period. Utterly charming example of simple work from times gone by.
