Villeroy And Boch

Villeroy and Boch was founded in 1748 by François Boch and Nicolas Villeroy, the company has grown from a small pottery in France (province of Lorraine) to a major global force in innovative and stylish tableware.

Villeroy and Boch has it’s roots the small town of Audun-le-Tiche in Lorraine, France. The company was founded in 1748 by François Boch, who started a small pottery workshop in the town. Boch's pottery quickly gained a reputation for its quality craftsmanship, and great design.

In 1766, Nicolas Villeroy, a businessman from the nearby town of Mettlach, hooked up with Boch to form a new company. Together, they expanded the business and started exporting their products to countries all over Europe. The company continued to grow and innovate over the years, introducing new ceramic techniques and designs that set them apart from their competitors.

Villeroy and Boch currently operate in over 120  countries and are much admired.

At Moody Mabel we love the clean lines of their designs, and, as they say in Wales, fablious colours.

Vitro Porcelaine

Vitro Porcelaine, is an excellent material that combines durability, beauty, and functionality, is a true step up for the world of ceramics.

Vito Porcelaine is made from a mixture of clay, feldspar, quartz, and other natural minerals, it undergoes a high-temperature firing process that enhances its strength. This firing process not only makes vitro porcelaine heat-resistant but also highly resistant to scratches, stains, and impact. It can withstand the daily wear and tear of a busy household without losing its lustrous finish.

One of the most striking features of Vitro Porcelaine is its vibrant colours. The colours of Vitro Porcelaine are not just surface-level, but they run through the entire material, ensuring that they remain vibrant and fade-resistant over time.
