A hanging iron griddle/skillet with 10 inch (25cm) plate, marked as Kenrick on the base. This item is of some age and could be Victorian although there are no age related markings. The item has some visible and usage appropriate wear, but no damage.
Archibald Kenrick and Co. was founded in West Bromwich in 1780 and continues today. It has not been in the supply of kitchenwear since early in the 20th Century.
These griddles were used for campfire cooking or in large hearths and this could still be used (if re-seasoned). More likely now a decorative piece in a country kitchen.
